FTSI, (NASDAQ:VIFL), a gamma irradiation firm located in Mulberry, Florida, recently achieved ISO 13485 certification for the Radiation Sterilization of Medical Devices. FTSI is a member of the Florida Medical Manufactures Consortium and has been providing reliable irradiation services since 1992.

"Previously, medical device manufacturers in Florida had to ship their products out of the state to receive sterilization services. Now it can be done cost effectively close to home," said Richard G. Hunter, Ph.D., CEO of the firm.

The firms unique gamma irradiation system accommodates both palletized and cased lots of medical products allowing sterilization of large or small volumes of medical devices or supplies at low cost. Additionally, the pallet irradiation system sterilizes products in their final packaging, minimizing handling requirements and ensuring maximum product quality.

FTSI also has the ability to provide dose audit and dose validation studies. For more information contact: Jim Jones, VP Sales/Marketing (863)425-0039.
