Medical Product Industries Cluster in Tampa Bay
In October 2002, an analysis was performed by the Center for Economic Development Research (CEDR), University of Florida (USF) - College of Business Administration. The Florida Medical Manufacturers' Consortium (FMMC) motivated and sponsored this study.

CEDR provides information and conducts research on issues related to economic growth and development in the Nation, in the state of Florida, and particularly in the central Florida region. The overall purpose of this study is to analyze the medical product industries cluster in the Tampa Bay region to determine the levels of economic activity. We quantify the cluster's baseline economic activity and its economic contribution to the region.
